Disconnection

Coming soon, Ellen will be posting a series of diagrams and photos of one of the haircuts she demonstrated on stage in Las Vegas during the Redken Symposium last month, the Disconnected Bob. Her goal is to teach other stylists the techniques and designs that are current, fashionable, and client friendly. We hope you enjoy this new feature, so please give us feedback. Post comments either here.

Good luck and thanks for visiting our site.

disconnection

We are seeing disconnection in hair this season along with cutting the perimeter last  and deep and shallow point cutting,  and using finishing to give us a map of where to go next with the cut.  When the hair is dry we can then see the density and balance the shape in a more grounded way.  Step away from the unfinished cut and really look at what is left, what needs to be taken away what needs to be left.   Having the guest stand puts a needed  prospective in knowing how to make a balanced  shape  for the head and body the way a fashion designer fits the shape to the body.

Would this look good with frizzy hair?

I'm trying to find a haircut that would work with my hair. It's really frizzy, and poofs out all the time. I've looked at the pictures, and I like the shape of the haircut. Do you think it would work on frizzy hair?

Frizzy hair

It might, but I would need more information just what do you do to your hair in the morning what products do you use and what's your climate where you live? I know I can help you.
